Sorry for the lack of updates.

Currently, I'm working 24/7 (well, 12/7, maybe) writing rules for Imperium.

So far, I've got the character generation and advancement stuff sorted and shipped out to my playtesters, plus stuff about character moral alignment and several random tables for mutations (horns, transparent skin, chronic flatulence, rotting flesh, silly voice, that kind of thing).

Yesterday I wrote rules for shooting. They were mainly based on the Inquisitor shooting rules, but I changed (and hopefully improved) the slightly ropey fully automatic and flamethrower rules. Now it's actually possible to hit someone with a flamethrower, and there's also some rules for splashing. In other words, use a high pressure spray of blazing napalm in an enclosed space and you'll get your hair singed.

Today, I intend to get close combat sorted, and probably a portion of the injury rules. Injury could take a while, since I want to make it a lot more specific than the Inquisitor rules it's based on (internal injuries, stuff like that). I might just write a detailed guide to the effects of injuries, based on the stuff in Critical Miss (I'll put a link up for that - an offbeat roleplaying online magazine - very funny at times), and let the GM inflict sucking injuries, pounding brain haemorrhages and stuff like that.

Then there's just the equipment rules, trading and little things like characters going nuts and environmental effects to sort out. After that, I have to write the adventure I'm sending the playtesters on next term.

And there's the small matter of starting my dissertation as well.

And writing that bloody essay.

[sigh]

Merry Christmas to you all.

Except for Jeffrey Archer, who's a tit.
